Welcome You've Got Maids of Chantilly, Ashburn & Surrounding Areas!
Would you tell us a bit about your business?
You've Got Maids® is one of the nation’s largest professional cleaning companies with over 85 franchises. You've Got Maids® of Chantilly & Ashburn & Surrounding Areas is independently owned and operated serving most of Fairfax & Loudoun counties in Northern Virginia.
We are fully licensed, bonded and insured and You’ve Got Maids is a Green America® Certified Business providing eco-friendly weekly, every other week or every 3 weeks recurring service as well as one-time cleanings, including move-in & move-outs. We bring all equipment and eco-friendly supplies, in our logoed company vehicles.
Anyone can clean a home, but not everyone can clean well and to the level of our high standards. After vetting, each maid must graduate from our internal training program dubbed “Maid University”. With written tests and field-based assessments, only two out of every four candidates will graduate. Additionally, our entire staff is vetted via a 7-year criminal background check, and driver license check. In addition, we offer a no questions asked, 24-hour 100% satisfaction guarantee of our service.
With superior 5-Star reviews we were awarded Angie’s List’s Super Service Award in 2017 & 2018 and we are a proud partner of Cleaning for a Reason®, a charitable organization providing the gift of free house cleaning to women undergoing treatment for any type of cancer.
Why do you believe in being environmentally friendly?
We have one planet that is shared by close to 8 billion people. Everyone, from the kindergarten students, to world leaders must do their part to protect our planet for future generations. Right now under the current course, the future is bleak.
For You’ve Got Maids, we are happy to do our part and are committed to using cleaning products that are healthy for our clients, their children, their pets and the environment. The products we use must meet many standards, including no toxins, no carcinogens and nothing corrosive to teeth or skin.
The majority of our clients are happy to pay a little bit more for both a superior quality cleaning coupled with Green Seal certified products and I think it makes them feel good knowing they are also helping our environment.
Do you use green cleaning methods for all jobs? Or does a client have to request green cleaning services?
We use green cleaning solutions for all jobs and every home and office. We also clean with reusable color-coded micro-fiber cleaning cloths and mop pads that are machine washed daily. If a client would like us to clean their home or office with harsher chemicals such as bleach or ammonia, we are happy to do so, but we do require the client to sign a waiver in advance should accidental staining occur through the use of harsh chemicals.
Tell Us About your Green America Certification:
The Green America certification is through You’ve Got Maids corporate office. As a franchisee we are under contract to clean to You’ve Got Maids’ standards which includes being eco-friendly.
Thank-you You’ve Got Maids of Chantilly, Ashburn, & Surrounding Areas for joining us on the Your Business Our World’s green business Directory! We’re so glad you’re here!

Talking Native Plants with Carol Kearney of Momentum Realty and Loudoun County Master Gardener
June 13, 2019; Potomac Falls, VA.
C.D. Guillaudeu, Your Business Our World
We at Your Business Our World love asking our customers about their business and may selfishly ask a few questions of our own that we may not know about and hopefully learn something new along the way. We started out talking with Carol Kearney of Momentum Realty and Master Gardener about her passion for the environment and plants.
“From the garden which is what I will primarily be talking about today, if you’re a gardener you can do things in a way that is more sustainable and if you’re really passionate about the environment, you can build an environment if you will, that will sustain itself. “
So, on a pleasant afternoon in mid May, Carol Kearney of Momentum Realty and Loudoun County Master Gardener walked me around her yard pointing out plants that were easy to grow, which were native, which needed sunlight, which ones she wanted to move, which ones she wished she hadn’t planted... Don’t plant Nandina Berry trees, their berries are bad for the birds and the trees are hard to get rid of once they take hold.
“The environment is my passion and how does that work as a realtor, I can educate people in terms of homes that make a difference from an environmental perspective”
Now this author is definitely not a gardener, and I’m afraid I got her a little sidetracked on our walk-through. While interviewing and chatting, I was thinking that gardening required way too much patience. But all it takes is just one flower to pique your interest and all of a sudden, you’re on a lifelong journey of learning, enjoyment, excitement, and contribution to helping our environment.
