Vision Statement:
YBOW’s vision is to be a primary online resource directory of green and eco-friendly businesses in the local (D.C., MD & VA region), including an Events calendar, for the public to use. Together, we will lower our impact on the Earth, and in turn create a better sense of community, as well as helping the local economy.
The foundation to achieve this Vision is by having an open advertising platform that is not specific to any one green or sustainability certification, as well as open to businesses and non-profits that are clearly working to reduce environmental impact on the Earth by humans.
Mission Statement:
To accomplish our Vision, we will help to educate and share ideas to consumers on activities they can do to lower their own environmental impact, while encouraging other businesses to green their processes. We will do this by not only sharing ideas and events but also by telling the stories of innovation and successes that current green businesses have accomplished.
