7th Annual Clean Energy & Sustainability Extravaganza – Friday, March 12, 2021, 11 am – 1 pm

On Friday, March 12th, 2021, from 11 am – 1 pm EST we will hold our 7th Annual Clean Energy and Sustainability Extravaganza.  It is a virtual event.

The Extravaganza will be hosted by The Association of Energy Engineers National Capital Chapter (AEE NCC) and Leaders in Energy!

Our panels will include:

• Panel 1 – Opportunities for women in the energy transition and the new Administration (AEE NCC – Council on Women in Energy and Environmental Leadership – CWEEL)
• Panel 2 – “Building Back Circular” Panel (Leaders In Energy) –  It will focus on larger-scale initiatives that are moving us toward a more circular future, specifically, pertaining to the building sector, city and regional planning, and the broader economy.

Our Master of Ceremonies is Christina DiBerardino, Senior Account Executive at Direct Energy, a NRG Company and AEE NCC Chapter Liaison to the Council on Women in Energy and Environmental Leadership (CWEEL).

Our Panel 1 Moderator is Nikki Mehta, Director, Energy and Sustainability, Honeywell, and CWEEL Lead, AEE NCC.

Panelists include:

• Dr. Kelly Lefler, Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Nuclear Energy, U.S. Department of Energy
• Ida Namur, Vice President, Director of Operations for AECOM’s Energy Business Line
• Leah Nichols, Executive Director of George Mason University’s Institute for a Sustainable Earth (ISE)

Our Panel 2 Moderator is Lara Ilao, Owner and Founder, Plastic Tree and Chair of the Leaders in Energy Circular Economy Working Group.
