Volunteer Opportunity:

Join Bethesda Green, Rock Creek Conservancy, and Montgomery County Parks as we remove trash from Meadowbrook.

Trash and litter negatively affect the health of a watershed, along with the organisms (we humans included) that live there. We invite you to join Rock Creek Conservancy to help keep the creek clean. We hope to see you there!

Volunteer Activity:
Volunteers from Bethesda Green will help remove trash from Meadowbrook Park in Chevy Chase, MD.

When: Friday, August 23, 2019 from 2:30 PM-4:30 PM.

Where: Volunteers will meet at Meadowbrook Local Park (7901 Meadowbrook Ln, Chevy Chase, MD 20815). Parking is available in the lots.Volunteers are encouraged to carpool or use public transportation.

What to Wear: Please dress appropriately for the weather. Wear sturdy boots or sneakers. We recommend long pants and sleeves to prevent contact with poison ivy.

What to Bring: Bring water. Tools and gloves will be provided. Feel free to bring your own tools and gloves if you have them. Students can earn SSL hours, but please bring needed forms. We also encourage volunteers to wear a hat.

Weather/Cancellation Policy: All participants will be notified via email at least 12 hours before the event start time if an event is canceled due to inclement weather. If you do not hear from us you should assume the event will occur as scheduled. All cancellations will be updated on the event calendar listing as well. Please check back if you are unsure.
