In honor of Earth Day, the amazing women behind Blue Crate and Zeroing In are bringing the DMV community together for a park clean- up! We hope that you will join us and other like minded individuals to make our local community a better and cleaner place to live! We will be meeting in the front area of the park! We will have garbage bags to fill up the trash. You may bring gloves if you would like, but they will not be offered. Earth Day was started in the 1970's as a way for people in the United States to learn more about various environmental issues. Currently, according to EDN, more than 1 billion people are involved in Earth Day activities, making it “the largest secular civic event in the world.” With the help of more zero waste activist we hope to inspire those 1 billion people to get more invovled in sustainable and eco-friendly living!

We will also be accepting donations for the Anacostia Riverkeeper!! This is a local non-profit organization that is working hard to protect and restore the Anacostia River and create opportunities for the community to connect to the river.
